How verification works

Badges on Pronto describe specific checks our team has completed.

Each badge is separate, so you can see exactly what was checked:

  • ID verified: the pro sent a valid government ID and a Pronto reviewer checked it. We don't show the ID or its number to anyone.
  • License verified: a reviewer checked the pro's license or certificate (for example PRC or TESDA) and, where possible, its validity with the issuer. Licenses with an end date expire automatically.
  • Experience reviewed: a reviewer looked at the pro's past work, portfolio or references.
  • Ratings and reviews come only from customers whose booking was completed, within 14 days of completion. Pros can reply publicly but can't edit or remove reviews; Pronto moderators hide reviews that break the rules (for example abuse or personal information), and hidden reviews don't count toward the rating.

Which services need which checks

Every pro needs an ID check before their services appear. Some categories need more: electrical work needs a license check, and repair and installation work such as plumbing, aircon and carpentry needs an experience review. Services stay hidden until the pro holds every check their category needs, and pros can't accept or start jobs if a check is revoked or expires.

Badges are not a guarantee of safety or quality. Always keep communication and payment arrangements inside your Pronto booking.

Reporting a concern

Use the Report link on a profile, service or booking. Reports go to the Pronto team, the person you report isn't told who reported them, and we'll notify you when we've reviewed it. For a problem with a job itself (no-show, poor work), use Report a problem on the booking so we can step in. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
